Irrigation System Rework for a New Landscape and Pool Area in Sartell image

When a yard goes through a major update - new hardscaping, a pool area, reshaped beds - the old irrigation system almost never keeps up. Zones that used to cover one layout don't translate cleanly to a new one. That's exactly the situation we walked into on this Sartell property.

The yard had been reworked significantly. New paver hardscaping, a curved retaining wall, a pool area taking shape - the whole footprint changed. That means the underground infrastructure has to change with it. Running the old system as-is would mean dry spots in some areas and wasted water in others.

We went in and reworked the existing system to match the new layout. New head placements, adjusted zones, and coverage mapped out specifically around the new landscape and pool area. The blue flags you see mark head locations so we can verify spacing and arc before everything gets buried and sod goes down.

This is something a lot of homeowners don't think about until they notice dead patches or a water bill that doesn't make sense. If your yard has been through any kind of significant change - added hardscape, removed trees, new garden beds - your irrigation coverage probably needs a second look. An updated layout isn't just about keeping things green, it's about not wasting water on areas that don't need it.

Getting the irrigation dialed in before sod installation is the right order of operations. Once the grass goes down, you don't want to be tearing things up to fix coverage issues. We get the system right first, then the sod goes on top of a solid foundation.
